JD, William, Sam, Matt, and Audree had their first baseball games this morning. JD begged me to stop and pick up slushies from the gas station on the way home. JD already knew he wanted an orange dream sickle one. Sam, Matt, and Audree are relatively new to this slushy thing and have not really found a flavor that is their favorite. Sam wanted a blue slushy but it ran out half way. He then topped it off with orange. Matt got a cherry one. Audree liked the pink colored one-I think it was watermelon something. Well once we got in the car the conversations were about the slushies. Matt thought there were chemicals in his but then he realized it was the hand santizer he had used earlier that he was smelling. Sam thought it was cool how his mixed slushy was turning green. Audree said her pink slushy was ok. When we got home Matt got a large bowl from the kitchen and the three of them emptied their slushies in the bowl and mixed them up. Matt had the idea that they could share their slushies. I saw what they were doing and told them they were making an "Around the World" flavor. I helped them pour their new flavor into their cups and they were thrilled with what they had made. Now if I could get them to work together like this all the time-hum the possibilities would be endless. I love how in the midst of parenting God gives you a moment you can hang onto.
